The Veterans Film Festival organisation and friends were delighted to be invited to Admiralty House in Kirribilli as guests of Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley AC DCS (Retd) and Mrs Linda Hurley, to celebrate our ongoing commitment to showcasing Veteran stories on screen and the Screen Warriors program, with guests enjoying a glorious summer late afternoon on the harbour.

The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley are proud to be joint Patrons of the Veterans Film Festival and warmly welcomed some of the people who make the Festival possible, to a celebration at Admiralty House, recently. Supporters of the festival organisation were welcomed by the Their Excellencies and joined a spontaneous choral anthem with Mrs Hurley after being welcomed with these words from the Governor-General:

“Congratulations on the festival. Thank you for shining a light on the incredible talents of our veterans and for all that you do to help them as they transition into civilian life.  Please, keep doing what you are doing!”
